Celebrating 5 years in the blog-o-sphere
...and almost 8 years lurking in internet [pfffft] and more than 9 years as a gamer (first-person shooting, RPG, online games etc.)
Stats:
First blog: Blogger (abandoned after two days)
Blog posts: 367+ (half of them were all deleted along with my previous blogs)
First HTML layout: Shaman King (for my Tabulas)
First comment: from some anonymous person in Tabulas
Number of blogs created: 3 Tabulas, 2 blogger, 1 xanga, 1 Friendster, 2 Wordpress, 2 Livejournal
Current blog/s: Multiply, Blogspot, Tabulas, Livejournal, Insanejournal (mainly for roleplays)
Additional: Shamelessly posted two fics on my LJ. (Removed after two hours. I got no less than 30 reviews for both of them, though. XD)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
To celebrate this, Sparkly-chan asked me to do this meme (while breaking two of the rules):
# Leave me a comment saying “interview me.” (I didn't ask her to interview me. She's the one who asked me... using IM >.>)
# I will respond by asking you five questions. (She's enjoying this. she went overboard.)
# You will update your journals with the answers to the questions. (Yeah... I did)
(All the Q&A were copied directly from our convo)
1. How many years have you been blogging? Erm... surfing the internet?
- Five years blogging, eight years surfing the net... Hey~! That's 2 years before Friendster was launched~ haha... cool~!
2. Sites you first visited?
- Fanfiction.net
- Rayearth & Seresu's MKR Dimension... lol.
Sparkly-chan: Fanfiction.net.. LMAO
3. List of the jobs you got over the net... with or without salary.
- Proofreader: for Sims 2 stories... it's free... always :3
- CG artist: I get a minimum of $300 for a full body cg in comissions.
- Story writer: Sims 2 again (their exchange is a members-only board)
- Cleaner: If you don't know what scanlations are, you don't know what a cleaner is. period.
- Critic: it's always free... I do it for Sims 2 stories and sometimes, if my mood permits it, fanfictions.
Sparkly-chan: In the end... there's only one job there where you actually got a profit.
Azie: (´ー`)y-~~
4. Bashing?
- If there's a decent number of people bashing it, too, I'll do it. But, definitely, I will NOT hold back when it comes to Mary Sues, Gary Stus and overly-dramatic fanfiction OCs. If I'm not in the mood, I'll be leaving a lengthy critique.
Sparkly-chan: That's my girl!
Azie: キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━!!!!!
Azie: Hey, didn't you say that bashing and reviewing are two different things?
Sparkly-chan: yep... why?
Azie: See post in LJ
Sparkly-chan: Your LJ's friend-locked
Azie: Oh... haha... go make one then!
Sparkly-chan: NEVERMIND
5. What are your opinions about flammers and the like?
- Who cares about them, anyway?
6. I know you don't like Twilight. Why?
- asdsnkvcasnjcasjbsj~! YOU'RE ASKING ME WHY?! READ THIS > Click me~!
Sparkly-chan: Oh~! You read her article! Goodie~!
Azie: T'was shared by a good friend. She's been enlightened, too~!
Sparkly-chan: 8D
Azie: Good news, isn't it?
7. Lots of people started flamming you. What will you do?
- Who cares? I'll speak frankly and openly about what I think. I don't care what other people think about me, I don't care what they say and I don't give a damn about them. I say what I want, I do what I want.
Azie: Hey... isn't this the 7th question?! You said it's only 5!!
Sparkly-chan: Last one~! Pleaaaaaaaseeeee~!
Azie: =3=
8. What's the thing you hate most about writing reviews in FFN?
- Writers who couldn't accept the opinions of others. Why did you even display your work in public if you don't want it to be criticized. That's just dumb. And then, when I leave something like, "Your character were a bit off..." they will answer with: "No, they're not!" or "You flammer!"
- Oh, sometimes, I hate leaving reviews for Filipino-written fics. Specifically those with... ugh... the grammar, OOC-ness, Mary Sue. Some of them will bite you when you leave them a 'decent' (dencent = lengthy) opinion about their mistakes. I don't remember who said this to me:
Her: I speak what my mind says. I speak frankly.
Me: Yup~! I can see that.
Her: The problem is when you say one thing, they will snap back. They take everything as an offense. Really... I've read lots of flammed articles in LJ. I don't get the point why people keep on flamming him just because he gave his opinion. He just said what he really think about that topic. Really, if you don't like what one person says about it, don't mind them. Write your own article instead.
Oh, last night, someone posted this:
"I hope some people will understand my sentiment. WE don't bash you when you're having your fangirl moments. So don't bash us when we're having our dissing moments. The harshness of our sarcasm is, of course, a different story. Sari-sariling trip lang." ~ quote belongs to RP :3
9. Any last words?
- Thank you, you asked 4 questions more than what you said. (ΘεΘ;)
Sparkly-chan: ahaha. Sorry for that.
Azie: You enjoyed this, didn't you?!
Sparkly-chan: Yeah, I did... so much fun~!
Azie: I'll get you for this.
Sparkly-chan: ~/o/ I'll be waiting~
